Twenty-five years in the family business.

Aaron Payne grew up around the care industry. His mother opened her first assisted living facility more than two decades ago and built a successful, multi-location care business from the ground up — learning licensing, staffing, Medicaid, and survey prep the hard way, one deficiency notice at a time.

Aaron went on to help build and operate two more companies in the space:

• Agatha Home Health — a Maryland Residential Service Agency serving older adults and people with disabilities.
• A Good Life Assisted Living — a small-house ALF model focused on dignified, person-centered care.

Across those businesses, Aaron worked through every part of the operation: licensing applications, OHCQ surveys, Medicaid billing, Community Options Waiver, Community First Choice, VA Community Care, staffing and scheduling, payroll, marketing, compliance, and growth.

Why The Care Insider exists.

Most operators we meet — RSA owners, ALF owners, home care entrepreneurs — are learning the same lessons the same hard way. They piece together policy templates from Facebook groups. They guess at staffing ratios. They get blindsided by survey findings nobody told them to expect.

The Care Insider exists to fix that. We sell the systems, templates, and toolkits we built running our own agencies, so the next operator can skip the trial-and-error.
